Who we are

Latam Chemicals, LLC is a subsidiary of Grupo Pochteca. It was founded in 2014 with one sales office located in Houston, Texas, USA

Grupo Pochteca, S.A.B. de C.V., is a Mexico-based company group with international footprint that specializes in the responsible marketing and distribution of industrial raw materials, serving more than 40 industrial sectors, including the automotive, oil exploration and drilling, metalmechanics, food, personal and home care, paints and coatings, water treatment, cleaning and sanitization, mining, construction, and many other industries in Mexico, Central America, and South America.

It operates in 11 countries in the Americas, becoming a regional solution for the production chains of multinational companies with an important presence in the region and a relevant alternative for large suppliers seeking to enter these markets.

    Responsible distribution

    Responsible distribution. Its objective is to guarantee the safety of all those involved in the distribution chain and is awarded by the NACD (National Association of Chemical Distributors).

    FSC® (FOREST STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL®)

    It is an international non-profit organization that brings together different groups of people to participate in the solution of problems created by bad forestry practices and to reward good forest management. FSC certification seeks to ensure that certified paper and wood products come from responsibly managed forests.

    Grupo Pochteca is the first paper company in Mexico to be FSC certified, which places it at the forefront of environmental care. This certification is maintained through annual audits under the requirements of the chain of custody standard.

    Guarantees that all employees receive a minimum gross monthly income of 6,500 pesos.

    Integrated Management System

    We have been certified by ANIQ’s SARI (Integrated Responsibility Management System) since 2018. This certification serves the purpose of demonstrating with facts the commitment of the chemical industry in addressing the concerns of society by promoting continuous improvement in health protection, safety and care for the environment in all companies incorporated to ANIQ.

    Certification is granted upon compliance with at least 85% of the 240 requirements established in the verification protocol.

    Ethical trade

    We are currently included in the SEDEX (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) database, ethical trade and responsible sourcing, which evaluates business practices that are socially responsible and which protect the environment as well as the rights of workers.

    EcoVadis provides a comprehensive corporate sustainability rating service through a global cloud-based software-as-a-service platform. The EcoVadis Rating covers a wide range of non-financial management systems including environmental impacts, labor practices and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

    Dignified Income Companies: guarantees that all employees receive an income significantly higher than the minimum wage.
